To celebrate its 50th anniversary, Commercial Bank of Qatar (CBQ) entrusted QC+ Hospitality with the execution of a black tie gala dinner of exceptional scale and prestige. Hosted in a marquee in Al Baraha at the National Museum of Qatar, the event brought together 400 distinguished VIP and VVIP guests for an evening that honoured CBQ’s legacy, and featured immersive storytelling, cultural performance, and fine dining.

Every touchpoint of the guest journey was designed to reflect the prestige of the occasion. Guests were given a red-carpet welcome, and guided through a custom-built LED-lined digital tunnel that immersed them in the story of CBQ’s 50-year history, before moving into the main event space where 50 round tables were set for dinner in front of an enormous stage.

QC+ Hospitality curated the evening to achieve a balance of corporate pride and cultural expression. An LED screen framed the enormous, CBQ-branded stage, where presenter Khalid Aljumaily and a representative from CBQ hosted the proceedings. An address by the bank’s chairman and a short documentary reflected on CBQ’s journey, followed by performances from pianist Nasser Al Kubaisi, and Michel Fadel with his band.

A four-course menu of contemporary Qatari-inspired fine dining included Chicken Harees, Slow Cooked Lamb Shoulder with Aromatic Tachin Rice, and a Date and Saffron Cheesecake, while a drinks list featured Wild Lavender and Wild Mint Mojito zero-proof cocktails specially created for the occasion.
